For years, my husband has been telling me I should start blogging, which I suppose is better than telling me I should stop nagging. Clearly, I’m just starting to listen to him (about the blogging, not the nagging. What can I say? I’m a Jewish mother.)
So, here is blog post #1 — really just a way to say thanks for checking out the new & improved BirthTalk.com.

Whether you’re new to Birth Talk or I’ve been your doula or taught your childbirth classes, I hope you enjoy the new site. In addition to information about my childbirth classes, the site now has links to articles I’ve written as well as more ways to connect on Facebook, Twitter and this blog.

I also want to say thanks a million times over to my sons, who know more about labor and birth in 4th and 8th grade than I did in my twenties, and my husband without whom I wouldn’t have those sons. Or, this blog. (I really don’t want to admit he was right, but I guess I just did. To lots and lots of people.)

I’ll be posting regularly about pregnancy, birth and parenting — and putting more of the “talk’ in Birth Talk. I look forward to reading your comments and answering your questions.
