NEW! GROUP COMFORT MEASURES FOR LABOR WORKSHOP
This workshop focuses solely on using natural techniques for labor and birth. You will watch a short comfort measures for labor video, then practice relaxation and visualization techniques, deep breathing and positions for labor and birth.This workshop is ideal for anyone planning a natural childbirth, or looking for ways to stay comfortable before choosing an epidural.
Sunday, March 11 from 12:30-2:30pm at Hip Circle Studio in Evanston. $65 per couple.

BIRTH TALK CHILDBIRTH CLASS SERIES
Learn everything you need to know about labor and birth, plus postpartum and breastfeeding in this comprehensive series. You will learn about late pregnancy, the signs and stages of labor, partner and doula support, positions for labor, hydrotherapy, medication/epidural options, assisted deliveries, and communication tips. You will also learn about c section, immediate postpartum care for mother and baby, initiating breastfeeding and the transition to parenthood. I recommend finishing the series by your 35th week.
COMFORT MEASURES FOR LABOR WORKSHOP
If you already know about labor and delivery, but want to learn more about natural childbirth, this class is for you! It’s also an excellent refresher course and is ideal for mothers planning a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). We’ll briefly review the stages of labor, and then focus solely on using natural techniques to help labor progress. You will practice relaxation and visualization techniques, deep breathing and positions for labor, and talk about the birth partner’s role as well as labor/doula support.
CONSULTATION or CREATE A CLASS
Do you have questions about choosing a maternity care provider or birth place? Maybe you’d like assistance writing a birth plan or tips on how to talk to your boss about breastfeeding and returning to work. Birth Talk is here to help! If you have questions about labor and birth, simply want to focus on just a few specific topics, or talk about whatever is on your mind, I will create a session to suit your needs.
Two hour minimum charge. $75/hour.
